Proven genetics located in South Texas. We started our deer breeding program using the finest broodstock available from proven producers. Each year, we have continued to add to these foundation genetics through both artificial insemination techniques, as well as natural breeding. Our breeding stock is out of Northern, Mid-western and South Texas Genetics, although all of our deer were born in Texas and have acclimated well. Every single deer acquired to form the basis of our JAG foundation herd was sired by a 290 to 415 inch bucks, or its dam was sired by a 290 to 415 inch plus bucks, if a northern cross. Or, if the foundation deer was of pure Texas descent, the sire was at least 190 inches or better as a typical, or its dam was sired by a 190 inch typical or higher bucks. Our discipline in carefully selecting both does and sires with proven pedigrees assures the quality of our deer. We keep meticulous breeding and medical records on all of our deer. Each year, we offer a limited number of fawns and bred does available for sale. We will entertain offers on any of our deer.
Additionally, we offer for sale Rowdy semen as well as other excellent bucks. Rowdy is the 5 year old 50% Wisconsin/50% Texas son of Wildnerness Bucky (331 B&C DNAS 723). Rowdy has the look with an amazing 29 inch inside spread and a gross B&C score of 253 3/8. Bucky is a son of Poncho (DNAS 426), who is a son of Little Boomer (DNAS 107). Texas genetics are Kotzur/Berdoll. Rowdy's dam is 116A a Woodard Whitetail's superdoe, who was sired by Big Papa Pump (DNAS 32421), a 100% South Texas buck that was a slick typical 10 point scoring 204 B&C at age 3. Sire of Big Papa Pump was Kotzur's Twelve, a proven producer. Woodards 116A was also the dam to 522, who is the dam of Gladiator II, a 176 inch yearling. We have semen on hand from top bucks around the nation and if you are looking for a particular breeding combination to fit your pens or pasture, we can probably accommodate your request. A down-payment of 50% will secure your deer until delivery. Our deer are guaranteed live delivery, and for three days following delivery. We guarantee the parentage of all deer we sell. We are now taking orders for 2010 fawns and bred does sired by the likes of Ramsay, Maxbo Allstar, and Rowdy over does sired by High Roller, Blue Mountain Bill, Rowdy, Dreambuck, Pretty Boy and Lucias. Ramsay, a Jeckly son scored 216 as a yearling and has an amazing 4 400 inch plus bucks in his pedigree. Maxbo Allstar, now deceased, scored an official 178 NET AS A TYPICAL yearling and is the reportedly the highest selling fawn in history, selling for $270,000.00, from David McQuaig. Maxbo Allstar was the NADeFA yearling winner in 2008. You won't get Maxbo Allstar semen or genetics in Texas, except from the JAG Ranch.
